Privacy Policy
TigomTaBai helps you keep track of your own money. Your records are yours: we use them to run the app for you, and nothing else. This policy explains what we keep, why, and your rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
What we keep
- Your account: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored scrambled (hashed); we can't read them.
- If you sign in with Google: Google tells us your name, your email address, that Google has verified it, and your Google account's ID number, which is how we recognise you next time. That's all we ask for. We never get your Google password, and we can't see your Gmail, contacts, files or anything else in your Google account.
- What you record: accounts and wallets, income, expenses and transfers, categories, budgets, recurring payments and loans, and their notes.
- What you upload: your profile photo, and payment receipts you send when upgrading to Pro.
- Your settings: preferences such as reminders, paydays, Migo's reply language and what Migo calls you.
- Chats with Migo: what you ask Migo, your assistant, and his answers, so you can read them again.
- Activity and security: what you did and when (for example "Record added"), with the IP address it came from, so you can review your activity and so we can spot misuse. We never log passwords.
Why we keep it
- To run the app for you: show your balances, budgets, reminders, the dashboard and Migo's answers.
- To keep your account safe: sign-in protection, password resets and the activity log.
- To let you sign in with Google, if you choose to: matching your Google account to your TigomTaBai account, or creating one the first time.
- To handle your plan: trials, Pro upgrades and the receipts you send.
We don't sell your data, we don't show you ads based on it, and we don't share it with anyone except the services that run the app for us (our hosting provider, and the email service that sends our emails: password resets, payment updates, and the reminders and news you choose to get), only as much as they need. You can turn reminder and news emails off in Settings > Application, or with the unsubscribe link in each one.
Signing in with Google is optional. When you use it, Google handles that step under its own Privacy Policy and knows that you signed in to TigomTaBai. We don't send Google your records. You can remove TigomTaBai's access at any time in your Google Account (Security > Third-party apps and services). To keep signing in with your email after that, first set a password in Settings > Security.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account (Settings > Account & privacy), your data and uploaded files are deleted right away. Copies in our backups are removed as the backups expire, within 14 days.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed, to access your data, to object, to have it corrected, to have it erased or blocked, to get a copy you can take elsewhere (data portability), and to be compensated for damages. You can do most of this yourself:
- See and correct your information on any page of the app, or under Settings.
- Download everything we keep about you: Settings > Account & privacy > Download my data.
- Erase everything: Settings > Account & privacy > Delete my account.
For anything else, email us at privacy@tigomtabai.ph. If you're not happy with our answer, you may complain to the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
Keeping it safe
Your connection to TigomTaBai is encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, and only you can see your records. With Google sign-in we receive your details straight from Google over an encrypted connection, check that they're really from Google, and don't keep any Google access keys afterwards. A few staff members can see account details (not your password) to help with support and plan upgrades.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll ask you to read and accept it again the next time you open Settings. This is version 2026-10-29.
